This piece was inspired by moving into a new house and making it a home. These colours are the most comforting and cosy colours, representing happiness, safety, individuality, and moving forward. This artwork was designed to be soothing and relaxing, although it is a large piece it is not overwhelming.

In the season 6 episode titled 'Roots' of the 2000s Australian comedy show 'Kath and Kim', Kath discovers her family's Indigenous ancestry. Although Kim isn't fond of Kath's native cooking, she is very accepting of her new identity. Kim goes on to say her Indigenous heritage is why she looks "so good" in Cathy Freemans running suit. This show is near and dear to the artist and is a very dominent example of Indigenous people presenting in different ways.

The South Coast

An Indigenous, modern piece depicting the mountains and ocean of the South Coast. Each meeting point represents a town located along the edge of country. From Batemans Bay to Nowra, this painting shows the sacred mountains, ocean, and land in between. The dry, orange dirt to the blue oceans, a shining, yellow sun and earthy, green mountains. This is the South Coast.
Mermaids

This piece was inspired by the countless myths and legends from all over the world about a creature half human half sea creature. There have been many Australian myths, legends, and sightings of mermaids on our home coasts, to which sparked the creative decision to create this piece.
Miti Marai acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of this land and recognises their continuing connection to land, water, and community. We pay our respects to Elders past, present, and emerging. This was, is, and always will be, Aboriginal land.
